We’re proud to announce a partnership with Squash Australia to host the 2026 World Squash Masters Championships, set to take place from 30 August to 6 September 2026.
As part of this unique collaboration, Karrinyup will host a purpose-built all-glass squash court on centre court outside The Coffee Club. Providing a one-of-a-kind sporting showcase for fans and an unprecedented platform for global squash athletes to compete in full public view.
The World Squash Masters Championships is set to attract thousands of international and domestic competitors aged 35 and over alongside their families, spectators, officials, and sport tourists to the region. Squash Australia CEO Robert Donaghue said “the collaboration reflects Squash Australia’s bold approach to bringing squash to the broader public to continue to grow the game from grass roots through to elite”.
“The opportunity to stage world-class squash in such a high-traffic, high-profile location like Karrinyup is a game-changer for the sport. This partnership puts squash front and centre – literally – and showcases the energy, excitement, and inclusiveness of the World Masters to new audiences.”
Trudy Cook, Centre General Manager at Karrinyup, welcomed the partnership with Squash Australia: “We’re proud to be partnering with Squash Australia to bring this unique event to the heart of Karrinyup. Hosting the striking glass court right here at our centre will create an exciting atmosphere for spectators and offer our community a rare chance to connect with this international sport in a dynamic and engaging way.”
City of Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin said the City was proud to be sponsoring the championships. “The City of Stirling is going to be the centre of the squash world next year – and we can’t wait. From the games in Mirrabooka to the finals at the magnificent glass show court in Karrinyup, it’s going to be a fantastic week. We’re looking forward to welcoming a huge contingent of interstate and international visitors.”
Garry Irwin, Chair of the World Squash Masters Commission, added: “It is exciting to have the all-glass court set up in Karrinyup for the forthcoming 2026 World Squash Masters Championships. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play on this court which will be a centre piece of the Championships”.
