Karrinyup Starts to Sparkle

Australian fashion and beauty icon Elle Ferguson recently visited Karrinyup to kick off a four-day fashion and beauty extravaganza as part of the centre’s first development launch, which included a number of eye-catching installations, free pop-up activities, fashion experiences and in-store offers for customers to enjoy.

On Thursday 21 November, the centre opened the first section of the new-look Fashion Loop mall with sparkling fanfare and a party atmosphere, just one year after commencing the three-year development. The launch celebrations included the opening of international retailers H&M and Swarovski, alongside an expanded MECCA, a pop-up store for Australian designer Aje.

In addition to the new retailers, a number of other specialty retailers including kikki.K and The Body Shop relocated to the new-look Fashion Loop, sparking the centre’s transformation into a more sophisticated, inspirational retail experience for Karrinyup customers.

The centre also celebrated the completion of refurbishment works to BIG W and the relocation of The Coffee Club into a new kiosk within Centre Court. In addition, the centre’s new rotating Icon Digital screen has made an impressive addition to Centre Court at over 8 metres tall, suspended from the roof above. A six-level multi-deck car park also opened, delivering an additional 700 customer bays and a new parking guidance system.

The Fashion Loop will open in its entirety in late 2021. It is a significant element of the overall development which on completion will offer approximately 290 specialty stores including high-quality local, national and international fashion retailers, an extensive food and beverage offering, new Coles and ALDI supermarkets and a state-of-the-art 10 screen HOYTS cinema.
