Banana, Almond & Cinnamon Porridge by The Fit Foodie


  • 240ml almond or cows milk
  • 110g rolled oats
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/3 cup plain almonds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or rice malt syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp black sesame seeds (optional)


  1. In small pan, add the milk and stir in the oats.
  2. Heat over a medium stove, stirring with a wooden spoon until the porridge thickens.
  3. Meanwhile, slice the banana into coins and place under a hot grill for a few minutes until golden brown.
  4. Divide the porridge between two bowls, and top with the banana.
  5. Scatter over the almonds, drizzle over the honey and top with cinnamon.
  6. Add black sesame seeds for extra bite!
Serves 2.
